BACKGROUND
We have an equal proportion of males and females.

The ethnicities of our class is similar to the university.
However, we have no one who identifies as Middle Eastern (UW: 7%).

We are less religious than the university.
Christianity is the most common religious affiliation for both groups, but to a lesser extent for our class. "No religious affiliation" includes 33.9% atheist and 23.7% agnostic.

ACADEMICS
Our grades were the highest in 4A, when we had the most choice over the courses we took.
As expected, our median grade inflated by 8% during COVID (1B-2B) and fell by 10% when we returned in-person.



We found Human Factors in Design (SYDE162) to be the best balance of easy and useful.
We found the programming courses, SYDE121 and SYDE223, more useful but more difficult. View our full course program.
How easy/useful did you find each core course for future courses (elective and mandatory), co-ops, OR general growth?



Lecture attendance has decreased by 23% since first term, from 74% to 51%.
Our lowest lecture attendance was 44% during 2A, our second fully-online term. Attendance did not have a significant effect on grades.



23 of us went on exchange.
We studied abroad in Eastern Europe and South-east Asia. The most popular universities were the National University of Singapore (6) and Charles III University of Madrid (4).

Median salary increased from $19/hr to $32/hr.
Salary differences within the class have widened, with the range between low and high salaries increasing from $7/hr to $26/hr.



The fully in-person working model has fallen from 85% to 32%.
The hybrid working model is now the most prevalent, at 48%.
